The Dance Of Bioluminescent Organisms That Created The Universe

Here we go, time for the final project pitch. For my final project I will attempt to try and make use of all the techniques we have used in the class to tell the story of a universe being created by bio luminescent organisms dancing. The film will open in a dark space created using a painted filmstrip with a black background to fill in the gaps where there is no paint. Then we will fade into a shot where a glowing organism glides into frame. I will use parenting to create movement and add a luminescent glow in photoshop. In the background I will use ambient ocean sounds as well as a piece of classical music, this motif will continue till around scene 12. I will continue to introduce different organisms this way as well as having one rotoscoped with strobing rainbow lights on its "body". Slowly more creatures come together and slowly begin to dance around each other. This will lead to them forming a circle and revolving around each other. As the organisms continue to rotate they will increase speed as well as the intensity of their glowing. As the glowing grows stronger the organisms disappear within their own glow and soon explode launching rainbow shrapnel all over the frame. As the explosion dies down it is apparent that the explosion has created a universe with planets and stars taking on the different colors of each of the different organisms that they were made from. At this point I will use tracks from "The sounds of Space" for the ambient track as well as the classical music. This brings us to the end. I think the hardest part of this project will be to get the movement of the organisms to look nice as well as the glowing. Hopefully all this goes the way I see it in my head and I'll end up with a really Nice final project.

My Pixalation Proclamation

Well I think I have a pretty good idea for my pixalation part of the film. My pix loop will be a person knee slap laughing. This will go with a close up of a pair of watery eyes, as my line for the film is "simply looking up at me with watery eyes laughing". Here is the golden nugget though. Inside the pupils of the eyes or eye which ever fits the frame best, will be my animated talking lips, i may even look at having the mouths where the eyes should go.

I don't know if I should use a picture of eyes or a video. I'm a little worried about picture quality. My initial idea was to have both eyes in the image and have the laughing person on both sides of the face with the lips inside the eyes mouthing the words in the sentence. That is actually my next step. i need to get images of a mouth speaking the line. From the looks of the blog post it is just getting the major sounds of the text and cutting them out and compositing it on top of the image. Hopefully it is as easy as it sounds. We'll see soon enough.
